  • Purplish leaves and globes with mild turnip-cabbage flavor. Leaves are eaten like kale and white-fleshed bulbs are eaten like broccoli. Plants grow to 18" tall, with globes growing above the soil. Plant in early spring for a summer harvest and again in late summer for fall and winter harvests. Harvest bulbs when tennis-ball sized. Peel and remove all tough and woody parts before slicing and cooking.
  • Directly we can sow the seeds. But we should keep the seeds moist during the germination. Knol will take 7 - 21 days germinate the seeds. Most of the cases moisture soil can increase the growing speed, so keep the soil moist in the germination period.
  • Winter season is the best season to grow the Knol plants. Knols are winter season crop, it grows well in this season. Knol seeds are available in all the season, but its germination speed is good in the winter season. So better to grow in the winter season.
  • knol is not a heavy water consumer, it need regular water in the summer and two days once in the winter and rain season. Sometimes due to heavy sunlight Knol plants cannot sustain, so better to grow in the winter season.
  • Harvesting: Knol will take 50 to 65 days to harvest from the seeding. Till that we need to provide the Potting mix, water and Neem oil properly.
  • Propagation in Kholrabi Cultivation:- Kholrabi (Kholrabi) is propagated by seeds. It can also be propagated by cuttings such as tip cutting and leaf cutting. The seeds of this vegetable should be sown in lots from the end of August to the end of November for a continuous crop
